The princess Trust is well funded national organisations. Whilst this bid quiet rightly scores highly, its proposed programme is to target a discrete area of work which council services are already successfully tackling for last 5 years. Our NEET performance has successfully reduced year on year and exceeded targets by 0.2% last year.  Nationally we are in the high quartile. Given our performance, its not proposed to recommend this proposal

This project is an element of the borough gang strategy. As one of the boroughs integral to the pan London gang strategy this 3rd sector element is a mediation project. It works with our own in house teams such as the rapid response team to break down a growing gang culture linked to organised crime, drugs and serious violence. The work will compliment community safety and services to young people.

BWHAFS Youth Project Community safety and health awareness training, one to one advice and guidance, education, sports and creative activities, youth integration exchanges, volunteering, and work experience opportunities. Clearly this is a significant area of work and scored highly in the initial assessment. The bid itself does not identify specific issues around community safety such as violence against women and girls or gangs affiliation. Neither does it identify specific vulnerably group or problem areas. Given its generic nature, it question's the recommendation.
